Overview

Interim Commercial Director Asset & Facilities Management – Sheffield | Hybrid Working | 6-month Contract | £600-£700 p/d Inside IR35

RT Consulting are specialists in delivering transformation across Defence, Government, Policing and Transport. With over 15 years experience and as a Gold ERS Armed Forces Covenant SME, we are continuing to expand our consultant network to deliver expertise on high-profile frameworks and programmes. We are currently seeking an Interim Commercial Director to lead a critical six-month assignment. This role will play a key part in reshaping and optimising a complex asset and facilities management function, ensuring it is future-ready, aligned with organisational priorities, and delivering value for money.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a comprehensive review of current asset and facilities management operations.
  • Design future delivery models, both in-house and outsourced.
  • Develop a detailed procurement specification for any outsourced provision.
  • Implement new internal structures to support a high-performing, value-driven commercial function.
  • Provide leadership to Facilities, Assets, and Procurement teams, ensuring compliance, risk management, and performance optimisation.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic commercial change and influence key stakeholders.
