Job description

Our client is a market leader in the provision of support services to the UK Armed Forces.

They are looking for a Commercial Director to lead a £500m turnover division which is involved in building, managing and maintaining world class facilities for the MOD.

The role:

  • Leading the commercial function and advising the senior executive committee on all divisional commercial matters.
  • Leading commercial negotiations with the MOD.
  • Leading and implementing best commercial practice.
  • Leading, motivating and developing a large team of commercial managers and quantity surveyors.

The individual:

  • You will have significant experience of major infrastructure construction projects (essential).
  • You will have a strategic mindset and the ability to translate potential opportunities into real projects.
  • You will be adept at advising a senior leadership team.
  • You will have excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • You will currently be a commercial director in a company which delivers major infrastructure projects with experience of managing a medium to large sized commercial team.

Location and Travel:

This is a hybrid role with two days per week in Plymouth, two days per month in Bristol, occasional travel elsewhere and the remainder working from home.
