Job Title: Commercial Director

The role involves supporting the business by educating, influencing, and advising key stakeholders on commercial best practices to contribute to the long-term growth and profitability of CBRE GWS, aligned with the wider GWS Commercial strategy. Responsibilities include leading the commercial stance of the account, attending customer meetings, pursuing contractual entitlements, negotiating outcomes, conducting review meetings, reporting, and developing or delivering commercial training, including bespoke sessions as needed.

You will support account transitions by educating and influencing operational and procurement teams to manage, mitigate, and flow down risks, manage change effectively, and share best practices.

Role Summary:

  • Ensure compliance with Commercial Policy and Procedures
  • Promote adherence to CBRE governance policies and procedures
  • Participate in Business Reviews to advocate commercial best practices
  • Maintain and advise on standard documentation and templates
  • Educate and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Review and challenge business processes for compliance
  • Develop leadership in commercial awareness through meetings, presentations, and training
  • Advise on contractual obligations throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Design and deliver commercial training courses and best practice sessions
  • Provide commercial guidance during pursuit stages and contract execution
  • Support account transitions, managing change and risk mitigation strategies
  • Represent the team at various management meetings

Experience Required:

  • Extensive knowledge of contracting, including local legal legislation, offers, acceptances, valuations, and subcontractor management
  • Proven ability to influence sales and profit by maximizing revenue and minimizing risks
  • Experience in account contract management, issue resolution, and achieving tangible results
