Position Summary:

The Manager of Commercial Development will report to the SVP of Commercial Development. This role combines managing existing client relationships with supporting analytics, pricing strategies, and SalesForce CRM updates across the current client portfolio. It will work closely with the Commercial Operations Planning Team to ensure continued execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: account management sales leader with experience engaging with and expanding customer relationships.

  • Business Development: play a significant role driving new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and market expansion initiatives.

  • Business Operations: work closely with customers and internal Sojo stakeholders to develop price quotes, budgets, forecasts, margin analysis and proposals for new and existing opportunities.

  • Market Analysis: participate in industry events, monitor industry trends, track competitive offerings, and market dynamics to support business development decision-making.

  • SalesForce CRM: manage commercial pipeline, update new and existing opportunities, evaluate probabilities of close, develop and maintain planning and forecasting tools, and implement new updates, features and technology.

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management role within commercial sales in industrial automation (bonus), packaging sectors, or the food and beverage industry

  • Team player with a can-do attitude that embodies the ‘Sojo Mojo.’

  • Strong understanding of robotics, automation, distribution, and software solutions in manufacturing environments (bonus).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
