Job description

Commercial Development Executive

Salary: 40,000 - 60,000 DOE

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Location: Hybrid (Nottingham/Derby)

We're looking for a strategic, results-driven Commercial Development Executive to join our client's management team and take ownership of developing, growing, and retaining their commercial client base. They seek a capable, highly experienced Insurance Commercial Insurance Executive who is driven and relationship-led.

This pivotal position involves driving revenue growth by maximising opportunities with existing clients, discovering new markets, and expanding the product offering. You will be a leader, strategist, and relationship builder with the freedom to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Create and deliver growth strategies for existing and new clients
  2. Identify new opportunities, products, and markets
  3. Build strong, long-lasting client relationships
  4. Lead, mentor, and motivate a talented team of Commercial Account Handlers
  5. Collaborate with marketing to launch targeted campaigns
  6. Contribute to shaping the company's business plans as part of the Management Team
  7. Ensure FCA compliance, accurate quotations, and effective interdepartmental communication

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven success in winning and developing Commercial Insurance business
  • Strategic thinking with a creative, problem-solving approach
  • Inspiring leadership and a proactive attitude
  • Cert CII qualification (Acturis knowledge a plus)
  • Knowledge of FCA guidelines, commercial insurance classes, and market conditions
