Job description

The Commercial Development Analyst plays a key role in supporting the development of the Pathfinder platform and provides data analysis and admin support to the SWRnewstar business and Commercial Development team. You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing key SWRnewstar data and reporting functions, including Power BI models and reports, and waste destination data.

Your core responsibilities

• Support onboarding of new suppliers to the order management function within the Pathfinder Platform.
• Manage disposal rate updates and ensure pricing structures remain accurate.
• Support stakeholders with maintenance and updating of data within Pathfinder, ensuring system accuracy and integrity.
• Work with the Head of Development to specify new features in the Pathfinder Platform, liaising with stakeholders, and supporting their rollout.
• Collaborate with the Pathfinder developer to monitor and test new features.
• Support development and maintenance of Power BI reporting models and tools for Pathfinder.
• Maintain and upload waste destination reports for SWRnewstar, working with stakeholders and suppliers to source and validate data.
• Handle the bulk issuing of Annual Waste Transfer Notes for SWRnewstar.
• Provide data analysis and reporting support to the Head of Development, Commercial Director, and wider team.
• Assist with issue resolution and system administration support.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong analytical skills with experience in data management and reporting.
• Experience in business systems administration, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and other data analysis tools.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage large datasets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvements.
