Job Title Commercial Dependency Lead

Contract: Hybrid – 3 days WFH 2 days within the Leeds office

Location: Kirkstall Forge

Permanent Contract – Full time or Part time contracts can be considered (3 – 5 days per week)

Salary: Competitive and 10% Management bonus per annum (Upon personal and business performance)

The UK Care Services Finance team forms part of the Finance & Commercial function within Bupa UK. This team leads and is responsible for all the financial aspects of the Care Services business unit, ensuring effective delivery of the strategic agenda and the three year plan in the most cost effective way. Bupa Care Services operates over 120 care homes across England and Wales.

This role is a key support for the Head of Revenue Management, Finance Director and other senior operational, finance and sales stakeholders.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Identify and act on opportunities to enhance the in house cost of care calculation
  • Analyse dependency and maximise opportunities to achieve costed fee rates
  • Manage complex and high value dependency reviews
  • Work closely with the Public Sector team/care homes to add relevant resident costing details to fee negotiations
  • Applies judgement and manage risk
  • Support the wider commercial finance team to deliver high quality data analysis
  • Staying aware of the latest trends and developments in dependency calculations

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Detailed knowledge of resident care dependency
  • Experience of conducting Care Assessments
  • Experience and knowledge in the healthcare sector required including of funding pathways
  • A good understanding of and experience in using Microsoft Excel including formula and pivot tables
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to workload as business requirements change
  • Good communicator in both verbal and written forms
  • Well organised with effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and dependable and adaptable to change
  • Self motivated and passionate to achieve results and positive outcomes
