Curaleaf International in Sunderland is seeking a Commercial Demand Planner to join our market intelligence and commercial forecasting teams. You will build and maintain the UK market view, analyse competitor activity, patient insight and pricing signals to inform S&OP and new product introductions.
Reporting to Head of Sales & Commercial, you'll collaborate with Commercial, Supply Chain, Product and Data teams to translate insights into actionable demand signals and influence longer-range
Are you naturally curious about markets, competitors and customer behaviour?
Do you enjoy turning complex data into meaningful commercial insight that influences business decisions?
We're looking for a Commercial Demand Planner to join Curaleaf Laboratories in Sunderland. This is a newly created role that sits at the heart of our Commercial, Supply Chain and Product teams. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how market intelligence, patient insight and commercial forecasting support decision-making in one of the UK's fastest-evolving healthcare sectors.
As our Commercial Demand Planner, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining Curaleaf's view of the UK medical cannabis market. You'll monitor competitor activity, analyse market trends, gather patient and product insights, and translate these findings into meaningful demand signals that help drive commercial and supply planning decisions.
This is not a traditional supply planning role. It complements our existing Supply Planner, who owns the short-term operational forecast. Your focus will be the longer-range, unconstrained view of the market, typically 6 to 24 months out, providing the market intelligence, competitor and pricing insight and portfolio recommendations that inform S&OP, new product introduction and pricing decisions.
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Commercial, you'll work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Product, Data and Pharmacy teams, becoming a trusted source of market and competitor intelligence across the business.
Curaleaf International is shaping the future of cannabis through its commitment to research and product excellence. Powered by a strong presence at all stages of the supply chain, its unique distribution network throughout Europe, Canada and Australasia brings together pioneering research with cutting-edge cultivation, extraction, and production. Amidst a rapid growth trajectory, the emphasis on quality and expertise aims to ensure the delivery of safe and legal cannabis.
Curaleaf International’s network includes a clinic, pharmacy, and laboratory in the UK; cultivation and EU-GMP processing facilities in Portugal; an EU-GMP processing, quality assurance and research site in Spain; Four 20 Pharma wholesaler and distributor in Germany; a Polish wholesaler and clinic; and the EU-GMP producer Northern Green Canada.
Curaleaf International is part of Curaleaf Holdings, Inc., a leading international producer and distributor of consumer cannabis products.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving commercial challenges through data, insight and curiosity.
You'll be comfortable building models from scratch, working with incomplete information and confidently presenting your findings to a range of audiences.
You're hands-on and rigorous: you understand every assumption in your models and can defend them. You're direct and constructive, able to challenge a forecast input and explain why without damaging the relationship. And you're a builder, energised by creating processes, tools and ways of working that didn't exist before.
You'll also share our values: Lead & Inspire, Commit to Win, Customer Obsession, One Curaleaf and Driven to Deliver Excellence.
Curaleaf International is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. We value individuals from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we embrace the unique qualities each person brings. When you apply, please let us know of any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process.
Please note that this role will close on Monday 5th October and we will begin reviewing applications after this date.
