Eventus Legal is seeking a Debt Recovery Solicitor to join an established commercial law firm in Birmingham. Full-time, permanent role handling a varied caseload of commercial debt recovery for business clients.

Ideal candidate will have solid debt recovery experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a busy caseload while developing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with debt recovery experience.
• Proven experience handling debt recovery matters in a law firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Commercially aware with ability to give practical advice.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial debt recovery matters from instruction to conclusion.
• Advise clients on recovery options including pre-action, court, and enforcement.
• Negotiate with debtors to progress matters and achieve commercial outcomes.
• Prepare and progress documentation throughout debt recovery and litigation.
• Maintain strong client relationships with clear updates and advice.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships.
• Keep accurate files in compliance with legal requirements.
• Work independently while collaborating with the wider team.
