Job summary

Freeths LLP is seeking a motivated associate/senior associate to join its expanding Data & Information team in the UK. The role focuses on data protection, privacy, cybersecurity and AI governance, advising clients from startups to international enterprises across multiple sectors.

You will work with Luke Dixon and the national practice to deliver practical, business‑driven advice on data protection programmes, data sharing and technology transactions, with clear opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' PQE within a strong commercial, technology, data protection or privacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Advise on data protection, UK GDPR compliance and privacy matters.
• Assist with data processing, data sharing and international data transfer arrangements.
• Handle cybersecurity, data breach and incident response matters.
• Provide guidance on AI governance and regulatory compliance for digital technology projects.
• Counsel on digital marketing, PECR and SaaS/cloud procurement transactions.
