Commercial/Corporate Fundraiser

About Us:
The League of Friends of The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital (SATH) is a charitable organisation dedicated to raising funds in order to provide much-needed medical equipment for the benefit of patients of the hospital.

We now seek to appoint a Commercial/Corporate Fundraiser to join our team in order to secure donations from commercial or corporate sources to complement the work of our dedicated social fundraising volunteers.

We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional who can develop a programme of fundraising activities within the commercial and corporate world as well as raising the profile of the League of Friends (LoF) across the business community in Shropshire and Mid-Wales.

Principal objectives will include:

• Soliciting donations from commercial/corporate donors
• Creating new and imaginative fundraising activities/events
• Raising awareness of the charity and its aims
• Developing social media and corporate communications
• Managing donor information and preferences
• Working closely with other staff, volunteers and Trustees

Essential skills include:

• IT and social media competence as well as the ability to communicate and engage effectively with colleagues and clients.

It is expected that the role will be based at PRH Telford but will require extensive travel across the region, including some evening events and weekend activities, for which TOIL will be allowed.

The post is based on 37.5 hours per week and appropriate equipment will be provided. A job-share arrangement may be possible.
