A great opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Controller working for a successful and well-established business in the construction sector at their site in East Yorkshire. Reporting in to the Commercial Manager, this is a permanent position offering a highly competitive salary. The role would suit an Assistant or more junior QS/Estimator from a construction background who is looking to develop into a Commercial role with a great business.
As the Commercial Controller, you will be responsible for:
The ideal Commercial Controller will have some previous relevant experience from working in a similar role in the construction sector or in a QS role or from a Commercial Procurement background. Commercial/QS experience would be ideal for this role, alongside industry knowledge. You must be able to handle multiple projects and have the ability to understand drawings and building design. Strong problem-solving and financial project management skills are also essential.
This Commercial Controller role offers an attractive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 with an excellent benefits package including 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, an annual bonus scheme of up to 12.5%, pension contributions up to 10%, and access to a wellbeing app with high street discounts. This is a full-time role working Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm, and the business is commutable from Driffield, Scarborough, Hull, Malton, Beverley and surrounding areas.
