Job description

Working with the Commercial Director, the Contracts Manager will manage senior level relationships within Local Authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups and other key stakeholders, to ensure the parties meet contractual requirements.

Description

  • Contract Compliance: Ensure adherence to contract terms and milestones.
  • Liaison: Primary contact for Local Authorities and CCGs.
  • Strategic Partnership: Maintain strategic partnerships beyond contract end dates.
  • Negotiation: Finalize commercial terms and variations.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate contractual risks monthly.
  • Compliance Resolution: Resolve contract compliance issues.
  • Tender Submissions: Lead tender submissions for new services.
  • Social Value Initiatives: Develop initiatives to secure new contracts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Manage contracts with a continuous improvement approach.
  • KPI Reporting: Provide monthly KPIs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and improve service levels and KPIs.
  • Financial Monitoring: Monitor contract spend.
  • Issue Management: Manage complex issues.
  • Customer Interaction: Deliver exemplary customer interactions.
  • Stakeholder Support: Support stakeholders with contractual matters.
  • Coaching: Coach internal teams on contract understanding.

Profile

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in development, drafting, structuring, negotiating and managing contracts.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with internal stakeholders on the financial evaluation of proposals/opportunities from a cost and risk perspective.
  • Proven experience of developing business cases or recommendations regarding business proposals
  • Proven experience in leading and submitting tender submissions
  • Experience of health and social care
  • Experience of Local Authority contracts
