As Commercial Lead – Contracts & Relationships, you’ll be at the heart of our commercial operations. You’ll provide strategic leadership on key contracts, ensuring they deliver value, meet performance expectations, and comply with standards.
You’ll also be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping shape commercial strategies and manage risk. This role is central to working with suppliers and partners to deliver high-quality services to our communities.
Your day will involve managing major commercial contracts, advising senior managers and elected members on commercial and contractual matters. You’ll focus on building relationships with stakeholders, monitoring contract performance, resolving issues, and seeking opportunities for improvement. You’ll promote best practices in contract and relationship management.
You will have significant experience in contract management, procurement, or supplier relationship management, ideally within the public sector, with a proven ability to deliver improvements and manage budgets.
You will have strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory frameworks relevant to contracting.
You will have excellent communication skills to build relationships and trust with stakeholders, along with negotiation and leadership skills.
