Job description

Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of complex engagements delivered by KPMG to clients, including Blue Chips, FTSE, and large international corporates.

Responsibilities:
  1. Activate and execute agreed contracts and schedules to ensure understanding and management of obligations by KPMG engagement teams.
  2. Design and implement day-to-day contractual and commercial management processes to oversee revenue, profitability, and risks.
  3. Escalate and implement corrective actions when engagements deviate from expected returns or pose contractual risks.
  4. Proactively liaise with clients on commercial and contractual matters, keeping them informed of progress, benefits, and risks.
  5. Monitor and manage the contractual and commercial aspects of sub-contractors and strategic partners.
  6. Provide KPIs to Commercial Management leadership on client activities and value creation.
  7. Support the Engagement Lead in negotiating change controls and managing service levels.
Skills and Experience:
  • Expertise in commercial and contractual management with a forensic mindset.
  • Culturally aligned with KPMG's partnership approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Credibility with clients and ability to develop strong relationships.
  • Understanding of the scope and responsibilities of this role within KPMG.
  • Commercially astute negotiation skills, capable of protecting margins.
  • Experience in complex contracting environments, preferably in sectors like Technology, Engineering, Construction, Energy, or Natural Resources.
  • Experience in Professional Services, especially Advisory Consulting.
  • Ability to shape sustainable operating models for managing engagement profitability and risks.
