We’re recruiting for a Commercial Contract Manager to join a specialist procurement consultancy supporting public-sector and housing organisations across the UK.
This is a hands-on contracts role for someone with strong construction contract experience and a background working with public-sector or housing clients.
You’ll be reviewing construction contracts, advising clients on contractual risk and helping them navigate changes to live agreements.
If you know your JCT contracts, understand the commercial realities of construction and can turn complex contractual issues into clear, practical advice, this could be a great next move.
Your focus will be construction contracts, commercial advice and procurement.
We’re specifically looking for someone with commercial contracts experience within the public sector, housing sector or a closely related environment.
You’ll need strong practical experience of construction contracts, with a good understanding of how contracts operate in real projects and client environments.
Your public-sector or housing experience is important because you’ll be advising organisations operating within these environments and dealing with the contractual, governance and procurement considerations that come with them.
CILEX/FCILEx/ACILEx or equivalent legal qualification is desirable, but strong practical construction contract experience is equally important.
You’ll be someone who can read a detailed contract, identify the issues that actually matter and explain them to a client without drowning them in legal jargon.
You’ll get exposure to a wide range of construction, housing and procurement work, rather than being tied to one project or contract.
You’ll be advising clients on real contractual issues, helping them make decisions and influencing how contracts are structured and managed.
If you’re an experienced construction contracts professional with public-sector or housing experience and want a role where your technical knowledge and commercial judgement genuinely influence client decisions, we’d like to hear from you.
