What you’ll do

As a Commercial Content Writer, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing content covering major global sporting events. A solid understanding of sports such as Football, Horse Racing, and Boxing is essential.

Your daily tasks will include producing content for Oddschecker, tailoring articles to SEO trends, and managing UK content on Oddschecker and occasionally WhoScored.

You will stay updated with industry trends, identify content opportunities, and collaborate with the content manager to develop a content schedule.

This role requires excellent written English and attention to detail.

• Use Content Management Systems (CMS) for content creation and management.
• Assess in-house, partner, and competitor content for optimization opportunities.
• Apply SEO techniques to enhance content performance.
• Proofread and sub-edit content meticulously.
• Utilize analytics tools like Google Analytics and Search Console for content improvement.
• Monitor trends to produce relevant content on current terms and events.
• Coordinate with marketing and commercial teams to incorporate offers into content.

Key responsibilities

• Create, upload, and optimize affiliate content to generate revenue.
• Analyze content performance to identify improvements using analytics tools.
• Maintain and update evergreen content for maximum impact.
• Write and edit content across various partner sites.
• Collaborate with SEO and content teams to enhance content effectiveness.
• Implement SEO best practices independently to improve URL performance.
• Review affiliate revenue data to inform decisions.
• Plan and update the sporting content calendar for upcoming events.
• Generate ideas for content strategies and product enhancements.
• Support out-of-hours commercial content delivery as needed.

Ideal candidate

• Enthusiastic about sports and/or gambling industries.
• Familiar with at least one Content Management System.
• Experienced in writing and editing commercial digital content.
• Available for shift work and out-of-hours activities.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
