Role Purpose

A creative Commercial Content Lead to oversee the production, management and delivery of supplier-funded and integrated commercial partnership content across multiple platforms. Reporting to the Content Director, this role will drive the development of high-quality advertorials, sponsored content, recipe cards and other cross-channel content solutions that help drive product sales and brand engagement for our partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with media sales and the Food Lead to create compelling responses to briefs, conceptualising ideas that drives sales and uplift.

  • Identify and explore new commercial partnership opportunities, ensuring that content is on-brand.

  • Lead the creation and delivery of supplier-funded content such as recipe cards and sponsored content across digital and print.

  • Manage all aspects of content delivery, from ideation to execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest creative standards.

  • Oversee the development of high-quality content that supports key seasonal initiatives, including the Christmas brochure and Channel Island leaflets.

  • Track and analyse content performance across campaigns, providing detailed insights and recommendations for future content strategies.

  • Collaborate with the creative, editorial, and production teams to ensure commercial content aligns with editorial and business goals.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to commercial content development.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in commercial content or editorial roles, with a focus on supplier-funded content and commercial partnerships

  • Deep understanding of the commercial content landscape, including sponsored content, advertorials, and native advertising

  • Strong experience with food and drink output, creating and managing content that drives sales and brand engagement

  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple commercial content projects at once, ensuring high-quality execution within deadlines and budget

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for different formats and platforms while maintaining high editorial standards

  • Creative problem-solver, with the ability to bring innovative ideas to the table and execute them with precision.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working seamlessly across multiple teams to achieve common goals

  • Ability to use AI tools creatively and strategically, freeing up time for greater creativity and innovation
