This position will work closely with the Pre-Construction team in preparing budgetary and competitive bid estimates for commercial construction projects while maintaining a proper balance between the profitability of the company and the achievement of total customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide estimating services which include conceptual, schematic, and construction level estimates.
2. Provide estimating services that consist of labor and material quantity take-offs as required.
3. Perform pre-construction services.
4. Develop and/or understand the full parameters of the project scope.
5. Attend pre-bid and de-scope meetings with clients.
6. Achieve consensus with customers relative to the project scope.
7. Qualify all estimates and bids relative to scope.
8. Manage workloads according to department deadlines, commitments, and priorities.
9. Foster positive relationships with internal and external customers, subcontractors, and design professionals.
10. Assist in value engineering and constructability analysis.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 7 years of commercial construction estimating experience required.
2. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
3. Outstanding time management, organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills required.
4. Successful leadership, decision making, sound judgment, and delegation skills.
5. Demonstrated conceptual and lump sum estimating experience and ability to lead the estimating process of projects.
6. Proficient knowledge of estimating processes, technology, and related industry trends.
7. Comprehensive understanding of trades, scopes, timelines, and scheduling/sequencing of work.
8. Advanced computer software skills, including MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project and related software, or similar database software.
