Job description

Job Title: Estimator

Pay: $125,000 – $145,000 annually

This position collaborates with the Pre-Construction team to prepare budgetary and competitive bid estimates for commercial construction projects, balancing profitability with customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide conceptual, schematic, and construction-level estimates.
2. Perform labor and material quantity take-offs.
3. Conduct pre-construction services.
4. Develop and understand project scope parameters.
5. Attend pre-bid and de-scope meetings with clients.
6. Achieve consensus on project scope with customers.
7. Qualify all estimates and bids based on scope.
8. Manage workloads to meet deadlines and priorities.
9. Build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and design professionals.
10. Assist in value engineering and constructability analysis.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Proven leadership, decision-making, and delegation skills.
• Experience leading the estimating process for projects.
• Proficiency with estimating processes, industry software, and trends.
• In-depth understanding of trades, scopes, timelines, and scheduling.
• Advanced skills in MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and estimating software like On-Screen Takeoff.
