OVERALL SUMMARY
The Commercial & Colleague Strategy Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic and operational success of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will be responsible for developing succession plans, colleague incentivisation strategies and the strategic review of the Bespoke Investment Management commercial factors including but not limited to, revenue and margins. The Commercial & Colleague Strategy Manager will also foster a culture of recognition and celebration of achievements, along with further develop our investments academy, a pathway for future Investment Managers. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in strategic development initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- With the support of your Data and Analytics Lead and in collaboration with the Bespoke Investment Managers, conduct a series of data reviews and analysis, leading to the development of strategies to increase revenues and margin in line with the 3-year plan.
- Working with our Finance Business Partner, further develop a meaningful set of MI metrics to monitor performance and new strategic initiatives. This would include assessment of our client base and operational performance within Bespoke Investment Management.
- Define and assess sources of new business, working with Bespoke Investment Management Teams to create their business plans.
- Work with our proposition teams and Wealth Planning to enhance our integrated proposition for Bespoke Investment Management clients.
- Maintain the colleague retention rate by ensuring incentivisation, benefits, and rewards are attractive, clearly understood, and industry leading. Manage the celebration of success, and recognition of achievements within the division.
- As part of a team’s business plan, create succession plans and align JDs, objectives, and PDPs. Identify talent within the division, and lead on creation of opportunities for junior talent within teams, supported by the centre sponsored initiatives.
- Refresh the internal NPS survey to understand the level of completion for measurement, also targeting improvement of our colleague scores.
- Expand the Investments Academy program to include alternative pathways, deviating from usual intake methods, to broaden the reach of applications. Develop a clearer and more formal internship program that aims to deliver a smooth and repeatable pathway to attract a diverse representation of interns.
- Assist in the development of the Bespoke Leadership Forum (BLF) and quarterly strategy meetings with the team to ensure business information is delivered effectively. Hold an annual Bespoke offsite that is designed to build relationships between teams and grow ideas for better performance.
Regulatory responsibilities ¦ Compliance/T&C
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.
- Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business. Follow principles and rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the internal requirements set out in the Compliance Manual, local and Group Compliance and Risk policies.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments.
- Ensure client fee structures align with Consumer Duty requirements.
- Monitor compliance grades and take proactive action to address issues.
- Comply with the PA Dealing policy.
- Ensure required mandatory training is kept up to date and completed within the set timeframe given by TrinityBridge.

- Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of business dynamics and financial implications. Confident in manipulating, analysing, and interpreting data.
- Experience in a senior role within a high-growth environment, particularly in Asset Management.
- Proactive, eager to improve efficiency, take initiative, and continuously learn.
- Confident, structured thinker, with robust communication skills, both verbal and written, able to distil complex concepts in an accessible way.
- A collaborative team member, adept at managing diverse requests, excelling in time and project management, and effectively delegating tasks within a team environment.
- Proficient in record-keeping and reporting.
- Self-driven, comfortable working independently with a strong bias towards action and the ability to get things done at pace and to a high standard.
- Technologically savvy, with solid proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel (including advanced formulas), PowerPoint, Outlook skills, ideally with exposure to Microsoft 365 and its suite of power apps.
- Strong people-orientation, able to establish and maintain business relationships and motivate cross-functional teams.
