An energetic team with a sound business acumen and track record in supporting complex commercial strategies around the globe for a multitude of customers. The team must influence and lead multi-discipline teams to execute complex subsea tender pursuits.

Partner with the best

Leading the development of proposals for the supply of the full range of Baker Hughes Subsea Projects & Systems, in complex integrated offerings spanning multiple product companies with external partners.

As a Commercial CoE Tender Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering leadership, inspiring others, building great relationships, being a self-assured customer negotiator, and having a drive to succeed.
  • Having a ‘Bid to Execute’ project mindset and embedding this culture within the deal/project teams.
  • Ensuring deal/project knowledge continuity exists throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assisting in pricing activities ensuring adherence to the win strategy, market conditions, and Customer’s specific project viability constraints.
  • Leading the tender from inception; capture plan execution; tendering; ‘Bid to Execute’ project mobilization; contract finalization.
  • Influencing Customer choices to position Baker Hughes to win while ensuring adherence to Customer requirements/outcomes and specifications.
  • Ensuring our Capture Plan strategies are anchored with standard/product offerings and execution strategies.
  • Focusing on risk and opportunity management through the project lifecycle, identifying risks/opportunities, developing mitigation strategies, and interacting with key stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Business, or other technical or business-related field or proven Sales/Commercial experience.
  • Have deep knowledge of the Subsea industry environment and market participants.
  • Have significant relevant experience in Commercial models for complex deals in oil and gas.
  • Demonstrate clear thinking with effective communication at all levels.
  • Have sound knowledge and experience in cost estimating, budgeting, and pricing.
  • Be knowledgeable on legal aspects/implications of contracts, Ts & Cs, negotiation, etc., to enable identification/articulation of key commercial risks and appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present clearly to Senior Leaders.
