Job summary

Resourcing Group is seeking a Commercial Catering Engineer to cover the Hampshire area. You will service, repair and install a range of commercial catering equipment, keeping meticulous electronic logs and parts inventory.

The role includes a substantial bonus, company van, and enhanced pension. Candidates should bring electrical fault-finding skills and relevant 18th/17th edition credentials where possible.

Qualifications

• Commercial catering engineer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and servicing of commercial catering equipment.
• Perform planned contract maintenance and repairs.
• Undertake warranty checks and repairs as needed.
• Install new equipment when required.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
• Manage van stock and order spare parts as needed.
• Complete all paperwork and timesheets accurately.
• Attend meetings and training courses as required.
• Maintain excellent customer relations and upsell where appropriate.

Our client is a market leading company that specialises in the manufacturing and supply of commercial catering equipment. The company focuses and prides themselves on creating innovative solutions for their customers which makes them the best at what they do!

Covering the Hampshire area, you will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager to deliver expected levels of service to the region's customers. You will provide technical, maintenance and repair services for a broad range of catering equipment such as dishwashers, ware-washers, ovens, mixing machines, food, and beverage preparation etc.

The ideal candidate will have a commercial catering engineer background with the ability to carry out electrical fault finding and diagnostics.

What's involved for the Commercial Catering Engineer

• To carry out repairs and servicing
• Planned contract maintenance and repairs
• Warranty checks and repairs
• Installation of new equipment when required
• To correctly diagnose faults and ensure the most effective solution.
• Manage van stock effectively and to order and account for spare parts as necessary.
• Complete all associated paperwork
• Use electronic timesheets on PDA device keeping an accurate log of working time, time in transit, on and offsite.
• Attend meetings and training courses that may be required when necessary.
• Maintain good customer relations and maximising sales opportunities whenever appropriate.

What you'll need…

• Commercial catering engineer experience
• Relevant electrical experience (18th, 17th edition, HNC, NVQ, City and Guilds in electrics would be an advantage but not essential)
• Gas qualifications advantageous but not essential
• Fault Finding on electrical equipment is essential
• Must be able to read electrical wiring diagrams
