Who are we

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Commercial Department as a Casual Controllers/Coordinator. This role offers you a chance to be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The department primarily manages Rail Replacement services, covering TFL Overground, Underground, DLR, and Trams. Additionally, we support various national events with shuttle and park-and-ride services, as well as private sector company bus shuttle contracts.

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

As a Casual Controllers/Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring bus services from designated locations, such as railway stations or other key points. You will also be required to complete job-specific documentation and must have a mobile device capable of downloading Go-Ahead company apps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and supervising bus operations at assigned locations
  • Liaising with the public, railway station staff, officials, and contract clients
  • Completing necessary documentation as required for each assignment
  • Maintaining a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude, even under pressure
Working Hours:
  • Most duties are for Rail Replacement Control, primarily on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Some jobs may require weekday or overnight work
  • Shifts are typically early or late, and flexibility is required
Remuneration:
  • £19.80 per hour (including £2.39 per hour in lieu of holiday entitlement)
  • £40 travel allowance payable under certain circumstances
Qualifications
