Candidates will work on First Fix and Second Fix tasks, including erecting the structural skeleton and installing doors, frames, and finishing elements. Site work involves measuring and fitting timber per plans, with collaboration across trades.

Qualifications

• Experience with First Fix carpentry: erecting structural skeletons including floor joists, walls, roofs and stairs.
• Experience with Second Fix: fitting doors, door frames, skirting boards and window frames after plastering.
• Site work: measuring, cutting, shaping and fitting timber based on architectural plans.

Responsibilities

• First Fix: Erects the structural skeleton of a building, including floor joists, wall partitions, roof timbers, and staircases before plastering.
• Second Fix: Installs internal and external fittings after plastering, such as doors, door frames, skirting boards, and window frames.
• Site Work - Measures, cuts, shapes, and fits timber and building components using hand and power tools based on architectural plans.
• Collaboration: Coordinates daily tasks with site managers, clients, and other trades like plumbers and bricklayers.
