Allen & York are delighted to be working with one of the UK's top 10 recyclers of waste plastic materials. Our client sources raw materials from across Ireland and Great Britain and services the waste plastic needs of medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, warehousing and distribution facilities, and waste management companies.

Due to ongoing expansion, our client is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic Commercial Buyer & Trader to join the established team in this fast-paced role. The successful candidate will maintain and develop supplier relationships, mainly in the South of England, and negotiate the purchase of waste plastic materials.

You should have solid commercial experience, ideally in the waste management or environmental services sector, and be skilled in establishing, developing, and nurturing relationships with suppliers. The role involves inspecting and assessing plastic materials, negotiating purchases, resolving logistical problems, and managing queries. Excellent communication skills, high organization, and the ability to prioritize are essential.

This position requires extensive travel, with an expectation of being away from home 1-2 nights per week. You must hold a full UK driving license and have a flexible approach to your working week.
