Allen & York are delighted to be working with one of the UK's top 10 recyclers of waste plastic materials. Sourcing its raw materials from across Ireland and Great Britain, our client services the waste plastic needs of medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, warehousing and distribution facilities, and waste management companies.

Due to ongoing expansion, our client is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic Commercial Buyer & Trader to join the established team in this fast-paced role. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing supplier relationships, mainly in the South of England, and negotiating the purchase of waste plastic materials.

Requirements include solid commercial experience, preferably in the waste management/environmental service sector, and skills in establishing, developing, and nurturing relationships with suppliers. The ability to inspect and assess plastic materials, negotiate purchases, and resolve logistical issues is essential. The candidate should be an excellent communicator, highly organized, and capable of managing and prioritizing tasks effectively.

This role involves extensive travel, being away from home 1-2 nights per week. A full UK driving license and a flexible approach to working hours are required.
