Commercial Business Partner
Tamworth, Staffordshire.
Working Hours: 9:00-17:30 office based

Our client is looking for a Permanent Commercial Business Partner for a Logistics company. The Commercial Business Partner will play a pivotal role in driving revenue capture, optimising cash flow, and ensuring strong financial and operational alignment across the business. This role will act as a conduit between Finance and Operations, ensuring commercial discipline, margin optimisation, and commercial insight that supports business growth. As part of the role, the successful candidate will have a choice to pursue a professional qualification through company supported apprenticeship. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Commercial Business Partnering
    • Own and drive revenue capture and cash flow optimisation for 3rd party customers
    • Monitor and analyse 3rd party account profitability to ensure margin delivery and highlight opportunities for improvement
    • Act as the conduit between Finance and Operations, ensuring transparent and effective communication across teams
    • Enhance commercial awareness across functional teams, embedding commercial discipline and accountability
  • Customer Management
    • Assist in the set-up and onboarding of accounts
    • Support the management of commercial contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with agreed terms
    • Establish and oversee margin optimisation controls, including monitoring rates versus contractual terms
  • Commercial Reporting
    • Develop, maintain, and report on commercial KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement
    • Provide insights to support projects implementation
    • Conduct regular evaluation of approved projects to ensure assumed benefits are realised
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build strong, collaborative relationships with the Group Finance team and the wider teams
