Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Commercial Building Surveyor based in Alderley Edge to conduct inspections, prepare reports, and manage refurbishment projects. Qualifications

• Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial building surveying or construction, including maintenance projects.
• Excellent experience in managing dilapidations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and survey information.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Excellent organisation and time management, with ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Professional, client-focused approach with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with contract administration processes and project delivery.
• Experience using AutoCAD (desirable), surveying software and Microsoft Office.

Profile

A successful Commercial Building Surveyor should have:

• Good understanding of construction methods, building technology, building regulations and construction legislation.
• Experience within a commercial building surveying or construction environment, including maintenance projects.
• Excellent experience of managing dilapidations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and survey information.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Professional, client-focused approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with contract administration processes and project delivery.
• Experience using AutoCAD (desirable), surveying software and Microsoft Office.
• A Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• RICS membership or working towards chartered status advantageous.
