A leading independent commercial insurance brokerage in South Yorkshire is seeking a 'Commercial Broker / Account Handler' to manage a diverse client portfolio. The role involves handling new business submissions, client negotiations, and supporting more complex cases, ideal for someone with 2 years of experience. Our client is fiercely independent and has a very low staff turnover and an enviable client retention rate of around 98%.
Despite recent challenges, the business remains strong and continues to grow and as a result of this, there is brand new opening available for a “Commercial Broker / Account Handler”.
This role will require you to deal with a varied portfolio of commercial clients; some smaller clients will be allocated to you to manage independently and you will also be supporting the account executives on the larger, more technically complex cases.
You will be compiling new business submissions, dealing with existing clients, making amendments to existing policies as well being involved in the renewal marketing and negotiations.
Ideal applicants will have at least 2 years commercial insurance broker experience and have a good knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance. Some progress towards CII would be beneficial and will be fully supported.
