Job summary

Stallion Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of a leading boiler manufacturer, is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to cover London and the Home Counties. This field-based role is hands-on, servicing and commissioning commercial and industrial boilers, burners, and control systems.

You will diagnose faults, perform combustion analysis, and provide on-site technical support. A Commercial Gas Safe qualification and a full UK driving licence are essential, with overtime and door-to-door travel paid.

Qualifications

• Commercial Gas Safe qualifications required.
• Experience servicing and repairing commercial/industrial boilers.
• Knowledge of burners, controls and combustion safety.
• Driving licence and willingness to travel across London/Home Counties.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial/industrial gas boilers, burners and controls.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly and safely.
• Conduct combustion analysis, tuning and performance adjustments.
• Install, upgrade and commission boiler/burner systems.
• Provide clear on-site technical support and customer service.
• Participate in 1-in-8 call-out rota with standby pay and overtime rates.

Commercial Gas Engineer – Boiler Manufacturer

Location: London & Home Counties (field-based)

Salary: £50– £55,000 + overtime + door-to-door travel + vehicle + benefits

The Opportunity

We’re recruiting an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of a leading boiler manufacturer, covering London and the Home Counties. This is a hands‑on service and breakdown role working across commercial and industrial gas boilers, burners, and modern control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial and industrial gas boilers, burners, and controls.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly and safely.
• Conduct combustion analysis, tuning, and performance adjustments.
• Install, upgrade, and commission boiler and burner systems.
• Provide clear technical support and professional customer service on‑site.
• Take part in a 1-in-8 call‑out rota (£20/day standby allowance, with callouts paid at overtime rates).

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer within service and breakdown.
• Valid Commercial Gas Safe qualifications.
• Burner and control system experience (essential for higher salary band).
• Industry qualifications such as HND/ONC, NVQ, or City & Guilds.
• Confident with electrical fault‑finding and boiler control logic (18th Edition desirable).
• Good understanding of combustion principles and safety compliance.
• Self‑motivated, professional, and capable of managing your own workload.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
