Overview
The role in a nutshell: To provide an excellent customer experience for our Autobid customers in all parts of the ordering and delivering process. This role is fixed term until 12 May 2026.
A bit about the Department: The Autobid Procurement Team manages all aspects of the process of ordering and delivering vehicles for our Autobid customers. The team works closely with the funder panels for each customer to ensure that the driver experience is excellent.
Responsibilities
- As a Commercial Associate - Autobid you will be responsible for the accurate and timely ordering of Autobid vehicles for our varied client base through our funder network, starting with checking the accuracy of the Quote at the point of order, to progressing the order through to confirmed delivery. This will include manufacturer, dealer, and supplier engagement.
- You will also be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of vehicles for our varied client base from our preferred dealer network. You will arrange the delivery directly with the Client and follow the progress of the delivery through the successful completion, keeping the Client updated throughout the process.
- You will be part of a team who look out for each other, so it makes sense that you are good at building relationships. That extends to our drivers too; they need to feel that you are taking accountability for their issue, so while we target you on how many quotes, orders, and deliveries you have booked and handled, we will also take account of how you take ownership of a problem, use your initiative and see it through to the end.
- Administration work, including updating our CRM, e-procurement platform (where required) and spreadsheets accurately.
- Your Team Manager will support you day-to-day alongside your team to help you be the best Commercial Associate you can be.
- You will draw upon your customer services experience to handle difficult situations and find ways to make each interaction with our drivers positive.
- To respond to day-to-day enquiries and to ensure that tasks are prioritised and that all work is completed to achieve agreed SLA's.
- The handling of queries and appropriate escalation.
- To carry out the Autobid and Deliveries process, maintaining accurate progression and status updates.
- Ensure all communication with drivers is accurate, researched, appropriate and courteous.
- To complete all aspects of ordering including delivery/collection, invoicing, and rebates.
- Compile accurate statistics and information on preferred suppliers to maintain high levels of service.
- To build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally.
- To proactively identify and resolve operational issues and develop/maintain work instructions, including process flows. With the aim to improve efficiency, enhance service, minimise errors and reduce costs.
- Take full ownership to ensure the business complaints procedure is followed.
- Support the Team Manager with organising and planning activity.
