The Private Equity (PE) team manages the Impax New Energy Fund series (NEF Funds), investing or partnering with development companies that develop renewable energy projects, primarily wind farms, solar parks, and hydroelectric plants. These are mainly located in the EEA, with smaller investments in the UK and USA.
The PE team is divided into the transaction team and the asset management team. The transaction team focuses on sourcing and acquiring new investments, while the asset management team works with the management of acquired or partnered companies to execute the business plan. As ownership progresses, the transaction team identifies and negotiates sales.
