A leading legal firm in Hove seeks a talented Commercial & Property Litigator (5+ PQE) to join their Dispute Resolution team. The role involves managing a diverse litigation caseload, advising clients, and representing them in court. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Commercial & Property Litigator (5+ PQE) to join a well-established Dispute Resolution team. Based in either Hove or Crawley (two of the firm's five offices across the South East), you'll handle a varied and challenging caseload for a diverse range of clients, including businesses, landlords, developers, and individuals. This is a senior role within a friendly, progressive firm that offers a supportive environment with no time recording requirements.
You will manage a wide mix of litigation work, including:
Commercial litigation such as contractual disputes, director/shareholder matters, and professional negligence.
Property litigation (commercial & residential) including lease renewals, dilapidations, rent arrears, forfeiture, boundary disputes, possession claims, and landlord & tenant issues.
Advising clients on litigation strategy, risk management, and settlement options.
Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
Mentoring junior colleagues and assisting the partnership in growing the commercial litigation offering in the region.
Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 5+ years' PQE in commercial and property litigation.
Strong technical expertise across both commercial disputes and property litigation (residential and commercial).
Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
Commercially focused with the ability to manage complex caseloads independently.
A collaborative and proactive team player with an appetite for business development.
Competitive salary from £65,000 - £85,000 DOE.
35-hour working week.
