Career Progression | Dynamic, Expanding Team

Are you a detail-driven administrator with a knack for managing workflow and navigating compliance-heavy processes? Ready to play a key role in keeping the UK connected? If so, we want to hear from you.

Who We Are
OCU Opals, part of the rapidly expanding OCU Group, is at the forefront of full-fibre network delivery across the East Midlands and East of England. From our Peterborough HQ, we support the end-to-end lifecycle of critical communication networks, enabling faster, more reliable connections across the country. As our business grows, so does our team — and that’s where you come in.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Commercial Administrator to join our office-based team in Peterborough. You’ll be working closely with our delivery and traffic management teams across one of our three core workstreams.

Your job? To make sure everything flows — from purchase order to payment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reviewing purchase orders and supporting documentation
  • Checking and submitting quotes and invoices for client payment
  • Processing costs in our internal systems
  • Managing inboxes and portals (experience with Vitruvi or CEMAR? Even better!)
  • Resolving disputes and chasing queries with precision and professionalism
  • Ensuring every detail is spot-on and fully compliant

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a fast-paced admin role — ideally in infrastructure, local authority, or construction
  • Strong data entry and workflow management skills
  • Experience working with portals or finance/payment systems
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a high-growth business with real progression opportunities
  • Enjoy 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with options to buy/sell)
  • Work in a supportive team committed to innovation and collaboration
  • Play a key role in delivering projects that power communities
