Main Purpose of the Role

Supporting the Commercial Finance team in financial planning, costing, pricing, and reporting. Liaising with cross-functional teams and senior management to support sales and gross margin budgeting and forecasting.

Preparing bids, monitoring gross margin data, and assisting in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting related to sales, costs, and margins.

Acting as a financial interface to bid management and procurement teams, supporting bid delivery.

Supporting monthly financial planning and innovating reporting solutions to improve efficiency.

Preparing reports and providing financial insights independently, with support from the broader finance team.

Skills & Analysis

The role requires:

• Recent qualification or working towards ACCA or CIMA with financial and commercial awareness
• Strong analytical skills, experience with Excel, and ideally knowledge of distributed products, manufacturing, and BI analysis
• Ability to influence senior budget holders
• Financial responsibility with high confidentiality and risk awareness
• Developing costing and pricing models
• Contributing to forecasting and reporting, highlighting key variances with commercial commentary
• Leading on projects such as pricing proposals and financial analysis

Qualifications & Education

Essential:

• Degree qualification or equivalent
• Working towards or recently qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or similar

Experience & Proven Ability

Essential:

• Experience in financial and commercial roles
• Strong reporting skills and ability to influence stakeholders
• High confidentiality and fiduciary responsibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Familiarity with MRP systems, ideally SAP
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proactive and self-sufficient attitude
