Job summary

Get-Recruited (UK) Ltd in Manchester is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join its growing independent brokerage. You will manage a varied portfolio of commercial clients, work directly with them and negotiate with insurers to arrange appropriate cover, while building lasting relationships and contributing to service excellence.

This hybrid role offers Manchester-based hybrid working, a salary up to £40,000 depending on experience, and the chance to develop technical knowledge

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Handler or similar role.
• Knowledge of property, liability and commercial combined covers.
• Confident in client communication and insurer relationships.
• Organised, detail-oriented with experience using insurance systems.

Responsibilities

• Renewals, MTAs and daily enquiries across a varied client portfolio.
• Build strong client relationships and understand their businesses.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with insurers for appropriate cover.
• Review existing cover and explain suitable options clearly.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver accurate, responsive service.

We're working with an independent commercial brokerage in Manchester that has expanded over the past two years and is now looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join its team.

You'll manage a varied commercial portfolio, work directly with clients and negotiate with insurers, supported by a collaborative team. It's an opportunity to develop your technical skills and contribute to a business as it continues to grow.

What you'll be doing

• Manage renewals, mid-term adjustments and day-to-day enquiries across a varied portfolio of commercial clients.
• Build strong client relationships, understand their businesses and respond to their changing insurance needs.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with insurers to arrange appropriate cover.
• Review clients' existing cover, identify gaps and explain suitable options clearly.
• Work closely with colleagues to deliver accurate, responsive service.

What you'll bring

• Experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Handler or in a similar role handling commercial insurance.
• A sound understanding of commercial products, including property, liability and commercial combined.
• Confidence communicating with clients and building relationships with insurers.
• An organised approach, attention to detail and experience using insurance systems.
