Job description

Job Title: Commercial Account Handler
Salary: c £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

Barker Munro Recruitment is seeking a proactive Commercial Account Handler to join a busy team of this well-respected broker committed to delivering high-quality insurance products across the UK. They pride themselves on exceptional customer satisfaction and retention rates.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Manage new business quoting, negotiating, broking, and administration.
  2. Negotiate and oversee renewals, ensuring conversions meet or exceed company targets.
  3. Process midterm adjustments and maintain compliance with FCA regulations.
  4. Handle incoming and outgoing calls with new and existing clients.
  5. Communicate professionally with clients and insurers, verifying covers and endorsements for accuracy.
  6. Prepare market presentations for new business and renewal reports.
  7. Attend client meetings for new business and renewals.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Commercial insurance experience.
  2. Strong negotiation and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-level customer service.
