Job description

A highly regarded national broker is currently looking to add a Commercial Account Handler to their established team. They seek a driven and motivated professional with previous commercial insurance experience to support a diverse group of public sector / government clients.

The Account Handler will support the Account Executive in managing the client portfolio, including setting up actions for contract renewal.

The role involves being the first point of contact for external queries and issues, requiring skills and knowledge to meet client expectations.

This is a hybrid position with 2 days/week in the office.

About the role:

• Deliver high-quality and efficient service to clients.
• Work closely with Account Executives to provide comprehensive insurance services to existing and potential clients.
• Handle clients of various sizes, from small to large corporate risks.
• Complete all documentation related to placing, amending, or renewing insurance programs accurately and promptly.
• Contribute to maintaining a professional company image focused on competence and customer satisfaction.

Key skills/experience required:

• Previous account handling experience within a commercial insurance environment with relevant technical knowledge.
• Good communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and process large amounts of information quickly.
• Influencing and negotiation skills.
• Interest in progressing with an ACII qualification is supported but not essential.
