Overview

A leading global general insurance and financial services organisation has a requirement for a Commercial Account Handler to join their multinational insurance team. Working within a dedicated team, the Account Handler will provide a comprehensive advisory service to an existing book of Multinational clients, focusing on building strong relationships with a broad spectrum of global clients.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for servicing your own dedicated book of clients which will involve managing renewals, invoicing, identifying client needs, mid-term adjustments and handling any queries that come through from your dedicated client base in a quick and professional manner.

You’ll be responsible for a portfolio of accounts ranging from standalone statutory covers up to large Multidivisional complex risks including Property, Motor, Liability, Marine & Financial lines programs.

You’ll oversee all renewal procedures from start to finish as per the Multinational timeline including renewal strategy, risk presentations to the market, negotiations of terms obtained from Insurers and creation of renewal reports.

Key Skills/Experience
  • Cross class commercial insurance experience gained either as an Account Handler or in an Underwriting role.
  • Experience of dealing with international clients would be beneficial.
  • Good communication, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and assimilate large quantities of information quickly
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • An eagerness to progress with your CII qualifications would be supported, but is not essential
