Job Title: Commercial Account Handler

Salary: £35K - £45K + Bonus

Location: Bristol/ Hybrid (3 days in office)

My client is a respected, family-run independent insurance brokerage based in Bristol, employing around 30 people across its growing operation. Known for its supportive, down-to-earth culture and commitment to doing things the right way, the firm combines traditional client care with a modern, agile approach to broking.

Following an internal promotion within the commercial team, they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their established and collaborative department.

You'll be joining a supportive environment that encourages development and provides exposure to a variety of commercial cases, allowing you to acquire a variety of experience before going into a niche if you so wish.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting Account Executives on client portfolios across a mix of commercial sectors
  • Handling mid-sized commercial cases from £10K-£100K GWP
  • Preparing and managing renewals, MTAs, and policy documentation
  • Liaising with clients, insurers, and underwriters to ensure smooth communication and efficient service
  • Assisting with new business administration and client onboarding
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and internal processes
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues in a supportive, well-established team environment
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Commercial Account Handler or similar broking role
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products (property, liability, motor, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communication with clients and underwriters
  • Proactive approach to client service and team collaboration
  • Desirable: CII qualification (or working toward it)
  • Local to Bristol or within a commutable distance
