Job description

Your role at Dynatrace

Here at Dynatrace, the Commercial Account Executive owns the entire sales cycle for commercial opportunities in the UK Territory. This includes developing new customer leads (generated from both outbound prospecting and inbound inquiry), positioning Dynatrace, and closing business on a monthly basis.

The Commercial AE is expected to develop a territory go-to-market (GTM) plan and execute daily to that plan.

  • This includes targeting accounts and specific contacts within the account, building relationships with IT and Lines-of-business (LOB), determining business pain, and working to map the proper solution and close business.
  • The role focuses on developing proficiency in Dynatrace products and solutions, articulating business value, and creating and executing GTM strategies and campaigns to drive conversations towards discovery, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Prospect new accounts and build relationships with potential customers using phone, social media, and email, employing persona-based conversations.
  • Work effectively with existing customers to expand their Dynatrace footprint, managing time efficiently to focus on activities that grow pipeline and revenue within an emerging enterprise approach, positioning Dynatrace as a best-in-class monitoring platform.
  • Use analytical skills to understand customer needs, business and technology issues.
  • Leverage internal teams to conduct discovery, qualify needs, and demonstrate the value of SaaS solutions to meet customer goals and requirements.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline in SFDC to achieve and exceed sales quotas.

How you and your recruiter will recognize a good fit for the Commercial Account Executive role:

  • 1-3 years of experience managing full sales cycles and carrying a quota in SaaS, cloud, or container spaces.
  • Excellent consultative sales skills and experience with accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Ability to execute Account Plans and develop strategies for sales achievement; motivated, tenacious, and capable of consistently delivering high performance against quotas.
  • Strong internal collaboration skills across sales resources to maximize effectiveness and advance sales processes.
  • Experience with Salesforce and LinkedIn Navigator is preferred.
  • Possession of MEDDIC sales methodology experience and a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required.
