Tenth Revolution Group is seeking a Commerce Solution Architect to shape enterprise-scale digital commerce platforms across the UK. You will lead architecture strategy, design and governance while collaborating with product teams, engineers and stakeholders.

This hybrid role requires 5+ years in commerce architecture, cloud expertise (AWS/Azure), and experience guiding complex digital transformations. Attractive package with bonus and international work opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Solution/Technical Architecture in enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering digital commerce and front-office platforms.
• Strong cloud-native architecture across AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud.

• Leads architecture design across multiple teams, suppliers and workstreams.

As a Commerce Solution Architect, you'll play a key role in defining architecture strategy, leading technical design and supporting the delivery of complex digital transformation programmes across a range of industries and technologies.

The Role

You’ll work closely with product teams, engineers, designers, delivery leads and senior stakeholders to design and implement enterprise-scale commerce and customer experience platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing end-to-end architecture solutions for digital commerce and customer-facing platforms.
• Translating business requirements into scalable, secure and high-performing technical architectures.
• Providing architectural leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle from discovery through implementation.
• Working closely with development teams to ensure solutions align with architecture standards and best practices.
• Communicating technical concepts, architecture decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Supporting organisations through complex digital transformation programmes and technology modernisation initiatives.
• Driving architecture governance, security compliance and risk management activities.
• Evaluating emerging technologies, including AI and automation capabilities, and applying them where appropriate.
• Supporting vendor selection, platform evaluation and technology strategy decisions.
• Contributing to business development activities, proposals and thought leadership initiatives.
• Mentoring architects, engineers and consultants to help develop capability across the wider team.

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of Solution/Technical Architecture experience within enterprise-scale technology environments.
• Experience delivering digital commerce, customer engagement or front-office technology platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures and modern integration patterns.
• Proven ability to lead architecture design across multiple teams, suppliers and workstreams.
• Experience working within Agile and product-led delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, resilience and performance within customer-facing platforms.
• Experience developing architecture roadmaps and guiding technology strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and consulting skills.
• Experience with architecture governance frameworks and design authority processes.
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience applying AI, automation or emerging technologies within solution architectures.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce (Magento), SAP Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus or commercetools.
• Knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), personalisation technologies and digital marketing ecosystems.
• Experience leading vendor assessments and technology selection exercises.
• Consulting or professional services experience.
• Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Interest in AI, automation, advanced analytics and digital innovation.
