A leading company is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor for a permanent, part-time role at Strathaven Academy. The candidate will manage a cleaning team, ensure cleaning standards, handle health and safety compliance, and perform cleaning duties. This role requires experience in supervision and knowledge of relevant regulations, offering a competitive hourly wage.
Permanent Post
Location: Strathaven Academy, Bowling Green Road, Strathaven, ML10 6DP
Hours: 15 hours per week on a term time basis (You will carry out supervisor role 7.5 hours of the week and cleaner role 7.5 hours of the week).
Work Pattern: Monday and Tuesday 4pm - 7pm and Wednesday to Friday 3.30pm - 6.30pm
Salary: £12.82 per hour (cleaner rate) and £13.12 - £13.26 per hour (supervisor rate).
The successful candidate will carry out cleaning functions on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls, etc. You will also monitor standards of cleaning in line with specifications and COSHH regulations, reporting any issues to management.
You will be responsible for setting up rooms for lets and reporting health and safety issues as the on-site responsible person.
You will supervise a team of Facility Assistants (Cleaning), including training, recruitment & selection, attendance management, and team briefings.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring building security as a key-holder and maintaining cleaning standards.
