Equans is looking for an Combustion Operations Manager to join our team in Reading on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

The role holder will manage the mobile combustion team across multiple contracts, ensuring all compliance, employee qualifications, PPMs and reactive / quoted works are carried out on time, budget and the team have the capability to deliver a gold service to all the contracts in the portfolio.

What will you deliver?

  • Accountable for the financial performance of the contracts.
  • Ensure personnel manage the contract to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure that all risks relating to safety, health, environment and quality are effectively managed through the use of risk assessments, PPE, training and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and clients.
  • Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Equans Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements (or approved client system).
  • Review monthly audit checks demonstrating legislative compliance within scope of service delivery streams and to escalate to the portfolio director as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across the stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the CAFM system.
  • Ensure plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order. In accordance with the delegated authority with the applicable contract or authorised by the client.
  • Maintain commercial understanding of the client contractual deliverables across all services.
  • Work with operational management to develop performance measurement and improvement objectives in line with business plan through positive collaboration

Who are we looking for?

  • Gas Safe certification and registration qualification required
  • Must have experience managing a gas team and contracts
  • Any relevant M&E qualifications would be advantageous
  • Experience of using a CAFM system to manage engineering team
  • Computer literate using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Must have a full clean drivers licence.
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to build on client relationship
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Must be available to participate in an out of hours on call rota.
