National Gas is seeking a COMAH Compliance Engineer to provide specialist process safety, security and environmental compliance support across Operational Regions and National Gas Services. The role drives continuous improvement in safety and performance at our sites.
Based at St Fergus Gas Terminal, the position involves regulatory liaison, incident investigations and leading improvement initiatives to strengthen safety culture and compliance throughout the organisation.
£55,500 to £65,500 + up to 6% bonus
Location - St Fergus Gas Terminal
Candidate to be located within a reasonable communtable distance to the St Refgus Gas Terminal.
Site-based, 5 days a week.
Occasion travel to Aberdeen Compressor Station may be required.

As a COMAH Compliance Engineer, you will provide specialist process safety, security and environmental compliance support across Operational Regions and National Gas Services in compliance with legislation, regulations and company standards while driving continuous improvement in safety and operational performance.
Process safety, environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance are critical to the reliable operation of National Gas assets and infrastructure. This role provides the expertise and assurance needed to protect people, assets and the environment while ensuring compliance with industry legislation and standards.
Working closely with operational teams, regulators and external stakeholders, the COMAH Compliance Engineer plays a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, managing risk, supporting incident investigations and helping the business deliver safe, efficient and compliant operations.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a highly regulated operational environment, influencing positive safety behaviours and providing expert guidance to maintain the highest standards of compliance and performance.
