Job description

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Forensic Collision Investigator to lead complex investigations into road traffic collisions, including those involving fatalities and serious injuries. A key aspect of this role will be analysing injury causation and examining factors such as the effectiveness of safety equipment and the mechanics of injuries sustained.

This role requires resilience, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong understanding of UK legal processes. Due to Expert Witness responsibilities, applicants must have long-term residency in the UK.

We are open to applicants from anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Investigate road collisions and vehicle-related incidents, with a focus on injury causation.
  2. Assess factors such as helmet use, seatbelt effectiveness, and impact forces in injury outcomes.
  3. Prepare and deliver detailed forensic reports for public and private sector clients.
  4. Present expert evidence in Civil and Criminal Courts.
  5. Provide authoritative advice to clients, legal professionals, and law enforcement.

Essential Skills & Experience

  1. Extensive experience in forensic collision investigation and injury causation analysis including video analysis.
  2. Relevant qualifications such as a degree in physics, engineering or biomechanics.
  3. Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, biomechanics, and forensic video analysis.
  4. Experience in producing and reviewing technical reports with exceptional attention to detail.
  5. Strong communication skills, with experience presenting evidence in Court.
  6. Full UK driving licence.
  7. Experience retrieving and analysing vehicle electronic data (EDRs, telematics) would be beneficial.
  8. Knowledge of inspecting electric vehicles and related safety protocols would be beneficial.
