Job summary

The Boyd Group in Birmingham is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver meticulous repairs and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, while upholding speed, quality, and customer excellence as a Brand Ambassador.

You will plan repairs, prepare estimates, and use shop tools to ensure work meets labor guidelines and safety standards. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training or an apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical program or apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Strong understanding of auto body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan repairs and prepare customer cost estimates using tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers as needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and repair glass, interiors; weld and fit parts.
• Paint vehicles with factory or equivalent finishes and inspect for quality.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and verify repairs.
