Job Description:

Are you a skilled Collections Specialist looking to rise to a new challenge? Pepper Advantage is one of the leading loan servicing companies in the UK, currently recruiting for Collections Specialists to join our dynamic and growing team in Luton, Bedfordshire.

We are looking for candidates with outstanding customer service skills to handle mortgage servicing throughout the complete cycle, delivering workout solutions to customers experiencing payment difficulties, and managing the litigation process via liaison with solicitors.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week office attendance following 3-4 months of office-based training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing mortgage administration activities accurately and timely
• Communicating regularly with customers facing payment difficulties
• Negotiating arrears workout options such as arrangements, capitalisation, loan workouts, shortfall sales, etc.
• Monitoring workout strategies and ensuring compliance, taking further action as per the Special Servicing Manual
• Analyzing problems, making creative decisions, and acting within appropriate timescales
• Providing excellent customer service and effective communication

Requirements:

• Recent experience in a Collections role
• Experience dealing with customers facing financial difficulties
• Exposure to operational loans, preferably mortgages
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and understanding of Consumer Duty
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting the business
