Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Sheffield is hiring a Collections Driver for a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role involves driving and collecting mail securely along a route from the Sheffield Delivery Office, with 30 hours per week across 5 days, between 13:00 and 20:00.

You should be upbeat, independent, a people-person, willing to walk long distances in all weather, and hold a full UK manual driving licence with up to six points.

Responsibilities

• As a Collection Driver, securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
• Check post-boxes and visit post offices as part of routine collection/delivery tasks.
• Sort mailbags and ensure correct routing to processing centres.
